Ronald W Martinez Sr

Ronald (Ron) W. Martinez Sr of Penn Yan passed away unexpectedly on May 8, 2018 at the age of 70. Calling hours will be held on Saturday May 12th from 1-4 PM with a service at 4 all at Weldon Funeral Home. A celebration of life will take place on May 20th at 2 PM at Conquest Park , please bring a dish to pass. Ron was a Vietnam veteran he served our country in the United States Army from 1967 to 1977 at which time he received several metals including the Purple Heart. Ron worked at Auburn Steel for many years until he retired in 2007. Ron is survived by his loving wife Susan Grey Martinez of 29 years. He is also survived by his 4 sons; Randy (Angie Vigliotti) Martinez of Syracuse, Ronald (Sara Taylor) Martinez of Penn Yan, Richard (Cheri Lofft) Martinez of Port Byron and Ryan (Amanda Hamm) Martrinez of Penn Yan. Ron is also survived by two daughters; Jean (John) Forbes of Fulton and Erin(Lenny) Tuper of Wolcott. Ron will be remembered by his 18 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Two sisters; Patty(Iseral) Gonzolez of Florida and Juanita Damorville of Syracuse, one brother: Larry Desalvatore of Syracuse. Ron was predeceased by his parents Willis and Gladys Martinez  Desalvatore  a sister; Darlene Chapel and a brother Harold (Peanut)Desalvatore Jr
