James F Gavette

James F. Gavette 94 of Penn Yan passed away Wednesday May 9th at Keuka Comfort Care. James was born December 11, 1923 in Bradford P.A. the son of Malion O and Eva L. Newland Gavette. Services will be held at the convenience of the family. James served in the United States Army during WWII. He is survived by his children; Roger Gavette of Wilkes Barre PA, Dan (Karen) Gavette of Bellona, Ron (Jackie) Gavette of Bellona, Barry (Donna) Gavette of Mt Olive N.C., Alan Gavette of Penn Yan and Bonnie (John) Nichols of Rocky Mount V.A. a brother; Richard (Dovey) Gavette of Rushville, two sisters; Shirley (Ed) Miles and Ada (Roger) Lead both of Canandaigua, 11 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. James as predeceased by a daughter Marilyn Reifsteck. James was a proud member of the Bellona Fire Department. Memorial donations may be made to Keuka Comfort Care PO Box 107 Penn Yan, NY 14527.
