Carol Ann Butler

Age 62, of Penn Yan, formerly of Carson, CA, passed away February 17, 2026.

She was born in Ypsilanti, Michigan on July 23, 1963, the daughter of Gene Butler and Imogene (Holton) and Hubert “Pops” Carrington.

She was predeceased by her parents; her soul mate, Tommie Sponsler; four-legged fur-baby Chiwawa, Chi-Chi; and siblings, Dennis, Charlotte, Wendy, and Shari.

She is survived by two daughters, Rena and Amber; and “adopted son” Jason Dunaway; brothers, Michael, George, Stuart Carrington, Lee Butler; sisters, Teresa, Marie, Peggy, and Patricia; two grandchildren, Zoe and Ethan; and several nieces and nephews.

She enjoyed living life on her own terms, watching cartoons and eating popcorn. She loved her visits to Redonda Beach in California, eating churros and watching sunsets on the beach. She enjoyed being with those that cared for her.

A Celebration of Life will take place in a later date in California at the beach.
