Christopher A. Fenton

Age 37, of Penn Yan, NY passed away unexpectedly on May 30, 2026.

The family will receive friends and relatives at Weldon Funeral Home, 102 E. Main St., Penn Yan on Thursday (June 4th) from 3pm-4pm; followed by a memorial service at 4:00pm.

Chris was born on November 10, 1988. He graduated from Penn Yan Academy in 2008. Chris worked as custodian at the Yates County Arc in Penn Yan.

He is survived by his parents, Cindy Fenton (David) of Hartsville, SC, and Mark Fenton of Fairmont, NC; sister Kimberly (Thomas) Bayer of Sanford, NC; brother Brian Fenton of Durham, NC; niece Sienna Bayer, nephew Nathaniel Fenton; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Chris could be seen around the Penn Yan area singing Karaoke, and belting out favorite country tunes. He was an avid fan of WWE Wrestling, and was very passionate about his nostalgic collections. Chris loved his family very deeply and especially loved being an uncle. 

While he faced many challenges with his health, he would always try to find something positive in life. Chris will be missed beyond measures and forever remain in our hearts.
