Desiray Margarita Otero

Age 37, passed away unexpectedly on June 12, 2026.

Desiray is survived by her loving mother, Naimah Sierra; father, Carlos Otero; three sisters, Aisha Baaith-Jeffries (Khari Jeffries, Sr.), Amina Baaith, Naimah Baaith; and her brother, Miguel Mercado. Desiray was beloved by her nieces and nephews, T. Ishay Jeffries, Malik Edwards, Khari Jeffries, Jr., KaÍlah Jeffries, Nimalah Baaith-Ducharme, Yael Baaith-Ducharme, Najua Baaith-Mercado, Anisah Mercado, and R. Anastacio Irizarry, Jr.  She was well-loved by her many aunts, uncles and cousins; and by our special and dear family of friends. 

The family will receive relatives and friends at Weldon Funeral Home, 102 E. Main Street, Penn Yan, NY on Thursday, June 25, 2026 between 12pm and 2p.m.; immediately followed by a memorial service at 2:00pm.
