Doug Davis

Age 65, of Penn Yan, passed away on Christmas day from complications due to Marfan Syndrome.

The family will receive friends at the Emmanuel Baptist Church, 332 Main St., Penn Yan on Tuesday (Jan. 3) from 12pm-2pm; followed by a funeral service at 2:00pm.

Doug was born in Corning, the son of Fred and Clara Davis.  He graduated from Corning-Painted Post West High School in 1975.  He worked for CVS for over 30 years.

He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Vicky Davis; brother Don (Jackee) Davis; sister Darlene Spencer; sister-in-law Geraldine Gross; brothers-in-law Gerald (Carolyn) Killigrew, James (Darcy) Killigrew, and John (Laura) Killigrew; and many nieces and nephews, who knew their uncle Doug as “Uncle Emily” and “Uncle Abe”; and his beloved cats Caby and Kit.

Doug was a former Board Member of the Humane Society of Yates County.

Memorial donations in his memory may be made to The Marfan Foundation, 22 Manhasset Ave., Port Washington, NY 11050.
