Douglas M. Bergstresser

Age 62, of Penn Yan, NY passed away March 11, 2024.

Doug was born in Penn Yan on June 26, 1961, the middle child of John and Shirley (Hurlbert) Bergstresser.  Doug worked as a health aide for Catholic Charities for many years, and later worked at Birkett Mills.  

He was predeceased by his parents, mother-in-law Phyllis Thompson; and sister-in-law, Laura Herbine.  He is survived by his wife Gina; son Derek Bergstresser; daughter Lorana (David) Woodruff; brothers Donald (Barbara), David (Andrea), Dale (Jean), Daniel, and Daren (Dora) Bergstresser; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Bernie (Penny) Thompson and Tina (Donald-deceased) Burczynski; and one future grandchild in June.  

The family will receive friends at the Weldon Funeral Home, 102 E. Main St., Penn Yan on Wednesday (March 20^th); from 2pm to 3pm; followed by a memorial service at 3pm.  He will be interred at Lakeview Cemetery with his parents.
