Florence M. Sweeney

Age 92, of Penn Yan, NY, passed away April 27, 2025.

Florence was born on December 30, 1932, the daughter of the late Webster and Alice (Engle) Randall. After graduating from Penn Yan Academy, she enlisted in the United States Air Force, honorably serving her country from 1951-1955, achieving the rank of Master Sargeant. She continued to serve in the US Army Reserve after her service.

She worked and retired from North American Phillips in Bath. Florences greatest joy, besides her family, was to visit the wild horses and ponies in Assateague, Maryland and Chincoteague, Virginia.

She is lovingly survived by her daughter, Karen Schuck (Greg Hampsey); brother David (Melvie) Randall of Martinsburg, VA; and two granddaughters, Nicole Schuck (Rob Ayers), and Kristen Schuck, both of Penn Yan; and great-granddaughter, Brooklyn Ayers; several nieces and nephews; special friends since grade-school, Kay Paddock and Ann Kirch; and Louis Cecchini; and friends Kathy and Tim Marsellus. She is also survived by her beloved cat, Ebeneezer Sweeney.

Memorial donations in her memory may to made to Keuka Comfort Care or Ontario-Yates Hospice.  There are no services.
