George E. Hayes

Age 72, of Penn Yan, NY, passed away at home surrounded by his family on Saturday, February 18, 2023.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 4 at Emmanual Baptist Church, 332 Main St., Penn Yan.  A brief service will be held at 1:00pm at the church, followed by a reception and a time for everyone to gather to celebrate his life and memories. 

George was an assistant manager for P&C in Penn Yan for over 30 years and attended the Emmanual Baptist Church.  He also worked as a volunteer for the Penn Yan Fire Department and Fire Police.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Rose; children, Robert (Katrina) Hayes of Penn Yan; daughter-in-law, Amanda Hayes; brothers, Randy Hayes, Roger Hayes; four grandchildren, Lyam, Lillyann, Rebecca and Damion Hayes.  He was predeceased by his son James Hayes, and brothers, Donald and Barry Hayes.
