It is with deep sorrow and love that we announce the passing of Kenny Belanger, a gifted musician, beloved friend, and cherished family member, who departed this life at the age of 70 on August 2, 2025.

Kenny was a passionate artist whose music touched the hearts of all who heard it. With his unique sound and profound lyrics, he created melodies that told stories of life, love, humanity, and humor. From the early days of his musical journey to the heights of his career, Kenny remained committed to his art whether in the studio or on the stage.

Over the years, Kenny recorded multiple albums and performed on stages both near and far, earning the respect and admiration of fellow musicians and fans alike. Whether playing in intimate venues or grand concert halls, his presence was magnetic, and his talent was undeniable. You can always identify a Kenny B lick!

Beyond music, he was a loyal friend, a husband, and a devoted father. He was a source of inspiration to many. He will be remembered not only for his artistic contributions, but also for his kindness, humor, and unwavering spirit.

Kenny is survived by his wife Randi; his children Cori, Abraham (Ty), Ian, Kendra, and Melissa; his grandchildren Shalomar, Makayla, Zion, AJ, Madison, and Caleb; his siblings Roger, Nancy, Wayne, Steve, and Mary; his many nieces, nephews, friends, and fans! He was predeceased by his mother; Rita Belanger, his brothers; Garry and Charles, and many bandmates and friends.

A celebration of his life and music will be held on Saturday (August 9th) at Weldon Funeral Home, 102 Main Street, Penn Yan NY. The viewing will be from 11:00am - 1:00pm with a service following at 1pm and a burial immediately after. There will be a celebration in his honor after the service at Penn Yan Elks Club, 133 Main Street, Penn Yan, NY at 2:45pm; where family, friends and fans are invited to share memories and honor a life that resonated with harmony and heart. Feel free to bring your instruments!

Though he may be gone, Kenny’s music will echo on forever; a soundtrack to the lives he touched.
