Linda Knapp Banach

Linda Knapp Banach, 74, of Penn Yan, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, July 17, 2021. 

 

She was the daughter of Kenneth and Esther Knapp and was a lifelong resident of Penn Yan, New York. She was happily married to Daniel W. Banach for 54 years. She enjoyed working for the Village of Penn Yan for over 30 years, retiring as the Village Clerk. 

 

 

Linda is survived by her loving husband Daniel and her two daughters; Stacey (Bill) Gerhardt and Amber (Andy) Degner; her family, including her grandsons Billy (Melissa) Gerhardt, Craig Gerhardt, and Devon Gerhardt, are who made her the most happy. She is also survived by a brother-in-law, Robert Banach and sister-in-law, Linda Case; as well as many nieces and nephews and their children. 

 

 

Linda also had a true love for animals which is why she would have liked any memorial contributions to go to the Humane Society of Yates County (online donations accepted at YatesHumane.org). A celebration of life will be held at the Lakeside Country Club on Sunday, August 1, 2021 from 1-3 PM. Arrangements entrusted to Weldon Funeral Home, Penn Yan. (WeldonFuneralHome.com)
