Michael G. Allison

Michael G. Allison, 66, of Penn Yan, NY passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday October 7th, 2026. 

There will be a celebration of life on Wednesday October 21st at 12:00 pm at the Penn Yan Moose Club. In lieu of flowers, friends may make donations to the American Kidney Foundation. 

Mike was born on November 15th, 1959 in Penn Yan, NY. He worked at Penn Yan Central School District as a Bus Monitor and Custodial Worker and at Ontario County FLACRA. He enjoyed playing pool, shooting darts, fishing, boating and spending time teaching his grandchildren to climb the “Papa Belly Mountain” when they were little and watching them grow. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and cooking out. 

He is survived by his wife of 18 years, JoAnn (Hamelinck) Allison, his children Shane (Stefanie) Allison, Rebecca Allison, Brooke Race Shoff and Lindsay (Matt Brooks) Race, his brothers and sister David Allison, Theresa Allison, Kenneth (Bum) Allison Jr., and Brian Allison, grandchildren Tripp Michael Allison, Colton Fritz, Adalyn Fritz, Scott Shoff, Lilyan Shoff, Elizabeth Shoff, Joseph Shoff, Ireland Stebbins, and Carolina Stebbins, father in law James Hamelinck Sr., sisters and brothers in law Lisa Passalacqua, Jamie Young, Darren (Rose) Hamelinck, James (Bobbi) Hamelinck Jr., many nieces and nephews and his favorite pup Gunner Michael Allison. He was predeceased by his father Kenneth Allison Sr., mother Pearl (Corbitt) Allison, brother Keith Allison Sr., and mother in law Nancy L. Hamelinck.
