Nancy E. Chapman
It is with great sadness that the family of Nancy E. Chapman, age 72 of Penn Yan, announce her passing after an extended illness on March 23, 2022.
The family will receive friends and relatives on Saturday, June 18, 2022, at Weldon Funeral Home, 102 E. Main Street, Penn Yan from 10AM to 12N; immediately followed by a memorial service at the funeral home. A reception will be announced.
Nancy was born in Geneva on May 18, 1949, the daughter of the late James and Hannah Agnes (McCormack) Stoops. She will be remembered for her infectious smile that always lit up a room. Nancy was a Sheriff Deputy, retiring from the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office and enjoyed golfing, quilting, crafting, and volunteering at local hospitals in her free time.
In addition to her parents, Nancy was predeceased by husband Raymond Pulver, brother James Stoops and stepdaughter Debbie Brittain.
Nancy is survived by her husband Patrick; daughter Deidra (Matthew) Lord of North Carolina; stepchildren Michael (Heather) Chapman of Keuka Park and Leigh (Greg) Kaliss of Lancaster, PA; brother Kevin (Mary) Stoops of Michigan; sister Kathy Calarco of Rochester; sister-in-law Vicki (Ron) George of Newark; favorite aunt, Helen (McCormack) Coomber of Fairport; three grandchildren, Sarah Lord, Kristy Eddington, and Megan (Justin) Adams; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
