Raymond L. Humphries

Age 93, of Branchport, and formerly of Marion, NY, passed away February 21, 2026.

Raymond was born in Covington, Virginia, the son of Alvis and Margaret (Midkiff) Humphries. He and his wife Mary moved to Branchport in 1983, where he built their home after his retirement. As a contractor, he built hundreds of homes in Monroe County, including the Pittsford, Greece and Rochester area. His skills as a contractor were remarkable.

He is predeceased his sons and daughters, Curt, Steve, Barb, and Carol; and his brothers and sisters, Lloyd, Alvis, Nancy, and Clara Bell.

He is survived by his loving wife Mary Agnes; brothers Carl and William “Randy” Humphries; and sisters, Margaret Ann Robson, Jane (Ken) Buss, Daisy (Paul) Ayre, and Dinah Tiberio (Tim Cherry); 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends and relatives at the Weldon Funeral Home, 102 E. Main St. Penn Yan on Friday (March 6th) from 11am-12pm; followed by a funeral service at 12pm; and burial at Lake View Cemetery.
