Richard J. Cooper

Age 57, of Branchport, NY, passed away April 15, 2026 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester.  Richard was born in Canandaigua, the son of Ernest Cooper and Marie (Chrisman) Burnett.  He was predeceased by his father.

He is survived by his loving wife Donna Cooper; son Andrew Cooper of Rushville; daughters, Erika (Dustin) Jakubowicz of Hammondsport, and Rebecca Braden of Penn Yan; brother Scott (Becky) Cooper of Waterloo; sisters, Edith (Todd) Ackerman of Waterloo and Pamela (Joe) Carson of Shortsville; and granddaughters, Lauralynne Braden and Delaney Jakubowicz. He is also survived by multiple "adopted' children that he took under his wing. He touched so many lives and loved so many; to know Richard was to love him. 

He lived his dream; getting his CDL and driving for Equipment Share in Geneva, after driving for numerous years for Riccelli Enterprises in Phelps.
