Sharon C. Winslow

Age 78, of Penn Yan, passed away April 6, 2024.

Sharon was born January 29, 1946, in Utica, NY, the daughter of Charles and Mary Louise (Sterns) Pugh. Sharon will be remembered not only for her remarkable achievements, but also for the kindness she extended to all who knew her.  Sharon's spirit thrived through her work in the community she loved. She was one of the original Junior Football Cheerleading coaches. She was a past secretary in the Penn Yan Elks Lodge #1722 and loved supporting the Penn Yan Fire Department. Her hobbies included golf, gardening and spending time with her grandchildren. Competing in the Boiler Maker 15K race in Utica was one of her favorite accomplishments.  Sharon retired with over 30 years from Ferro Corporation in Dresden, NY. 

Sharon will be greatly missed by her family and many close friends. 

She is survived by her loving and caring husband, Bartholomew E. Winslow Jr; three children, Bart III (Stacy) Winslow of Elizabethtown, PA, Colleen (Chris) Tedeschi of Manlius, NY, and Brian (Carol) Winslow of Penn Yan, NY; sister Diane Dunigan of Damascus, PA; and five grandchildren. Delaney (Dan) Biester, Shelby Winslow, Sarah Tedeschi, Benjamin Tedeschi and Allison Winslow. She was predeceased by her parents and three sisters, Marylou Graham, Carol Wuest, and Joan Pugh.

A Memorial Mass will be held Saturday, May 4, 2024 at 11:00am at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, 312 Liberty St., Penn Yan, NY; followed by a service of committal and interment at St. Michael’s Cemetery at 12pm.  A reception will follow at the Penn Yan Elks Lodge to celebrate Sharon's amazing life.
