Suzanne P Fenner

April 1, 1943 — May 12, 2025

Webster, NY

Suzanne Marguerite Poli Fenner

Age 82, of Webster, NY, formerly of Penn Yan, NY, passed away unexpectedly on May 12, 2025.

Suzanne was born in New York City on April 1, 1943, the daughter of Thomas and Lillian (Christensen) Poli. Suzanne graduated from Baldwin Senior High School in New York, and continued her love of learning at Keuka College, where she would meet her future and lifelong husband, Gary. After having three children, Suzanne continued her love of learning at Trinity College, earning her first degree of many, a BA in Biology and Chemistry.

After moving to the Main Line of Philadelphia, while raising a family, Suzanne graduated in 1985 from Villanova University with a Bachelor of Nursing degree. She also earned a Master's Degree from Villanova in Adult Health Nursing and Nursing Administration. Suzanne would go on to work and help people in multiple hospital Emergency Rooms in the Philadelphia area: Bryn Mawr, Paoli, Lankenau, Hanneman and Crozer, proudly putting the letters after her name Suzanne Poli Fenner, MSN, RN, CWOCN. After retiring from the ER, she went on to become Director of Nurses at Dunwoody Village in Newtown Square, PA until moving permanently to Penn Yan, NY.

In 2001, Suzanne couldn't sit still and continued working as Director of Nursing at Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital while designing her dream home on Keuka Lake. Every inch of the house was completed in her signature style. After retiring from nursing, along with her love of interior design, she began painting and would be a mixed media artist for the rest of her life. Suzanne would display her work in various art shows, creating masterpieces from influences around Keuka lake and local nature as well as some very distant places. Suzanne was an amazing artist.

Suzanne knew how to make everything nice, warm and inviting. She was a fabulous chef and always made someone's "favorite." Gary and she would spend the winter as "snowbirds" at their home in Ormond Beach, Florida. Suzanne would spend afternoons and evenings playing mahjong and bridge with friends and doing artwork. Suzanne's current project was renovating a newly purchased home in Kennett Square, PA to be closer to her daughters.

She will be sorely missed by all.

Suzanne is survived by her husband, Gary B. Fenner, their three children, Michael B. Fenner of Webster, NY, Allyson (Richard) Mich of Unionville, PA, Andrea Fenner (Timothy Borror) of Chadds Ford, PA, her brother, Thomas Poli, of Smithtown, NY and many nieces and nephews.
